Firstly, Hi. I'm Gigi. Okay, now that that's done with lets get on to more important things, kay?
I'm really into acting. Like, really. I got a scene for an audition recently and in big print at the top it said ENGLISH ACCENT. I was like "wait...WHAT?" I'm a native aussie and people can barley understand me now. Can you imagine what its going to be like when I'm trying to fake an english accent? Badly. So then I went and rented loads of Kiera Nightly movies and ,frankly, that has got me no where so now I'm googling "How to fake an english accent." I got a little bored so I googled 'How to fake an aussie accent' and BOY is it funny. Most tips consist of 'Find some videos of Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee and copy his accent.' Sorry to break the hearts of forigners but no Australian talks like aussies on tv. Half of us are Asian anyway.
You know what I really hate??? Loads of people think that all aussies live in the outback and eat grubs and have kangaroos as pets. As a matter of fact I've only ever seen adult kangaroos in zoos. So there. Once I was in America and was talking to this American girl and she was all "Oh you're aussie, thats so cool. So you live in the desert or whatever, right?" I was like "Nah, I live in a city" and she was all "Oh my god, Australians live in cities?" I couldn't believe it. Sorry to stereotype but that was one dumb American. I bet you after that she went straight to maccas and hit the cheeseburgers.
Even though Aussies are misunderstood and stereotyped I love it when someone recognizes my accent or says how cool Australia is. I feel so much pride when I see the aussie flag flying and hear Advance Australia playing (especially at the olympic award ceremonies.) Yes, I have an AFL team and yes I go to every match possible. Did you know that AFL uses the biggest feild in the world for any sport? My team is the tigers and we have the best theme song. I'm not just saying that because its my team. It starts... OH WE'RE FROM TIGER LAND. THE FIGHTING FURY OF THE TIGER LAND and finishes WE'RE FROM THE YELLOW AND BLACK OH WE'RE FROM TIIIIIGGGGEEERRR LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortanetly, Richmond is on a downhill spiral. It has been for a long, long time. We havn't been in the top 8 teams for ages. Oh well. BUT! I'll tell you something that isn't oh well!??!? We recruited a former superstar/drug addict Ben Cousins after he'd been on a 2 year ban and we had such high hopes and he was going to win the championships for us and everyone loves him. First game, which I atteneded, everyone was there for Ben. Even the other team was looking out for him. And then in the true Richmond spirit Ben didn't touch the ball more then five times and then five minutes before the end of his game he go the ball, passed it and tore his hamstring. Go Richmond.
So, let me say to sum this all up : a) English accents are hard b) English accents are especially hard for aussies c) Richmond doesnt have a chance to win the championships this year and d) Australians live in cities, okay? God Damn cities. Let me just say, I'm proud to sing 'From the land down under' and ,also, where I'm from we're on top and you guys are down under. Ha.
Well, go to go. I can't believe you even read all this. I was just ranting on about stuff. Next week will be ten times better. Have you seen top chef? Stressful, much. Sorry, mabye i'll talk about that later.
Gigi. If you just can't wait for Razberry sundae till next week then go and get one from mcdonalds.
